Biography

The American country singer Jason Aldean was born in Macon, Georgia on February 28, 1977. He has released twelve singles and four albums with the independent record label Broken Bow Records since 2005. Aldean's self-titled debut in 2005 and set “Wide Open” released in 2009, both were RIAA certified platinum. “Relentless” from 2007 is certified gold. Four of Aldean's singles have made it to No.1 on the chart Hot Country Songs, including “The Truth,” “Big Green Tractor,” “She's Country” and “Why.” He has had six additional songs reach the top ten.

Aldean's self-titled debut album produced “Why,” his first No. 1 hit and “Amarillo Sky,” which peaked at No. 4. In 2006 “Amarillo Sky” was nominated as video of the year and song of the year by ACM. Aldean was named the 2006 “Top New Male Vocalist” by the Academy of Country Music. More than one million copies of “Jason Aldean” have sold in the U.S. In 2007 the RIAA certified the album platinum.

In 2007, Aldean released “Relentless,” his second album. “Johnny Cash,” the lead single, peaked in the No. 6 spot. “Laughed Until We Cried” became Aldean's fifth Top Ten hit in a row. The RIAA has certified “Relentless” as gold.

“Wide Open,” Aldean's third album, was released in April 2009. A single from the set, “She's Country,” debuted in the No. 51 spot on the chart Hot Country Songs. “Big Green Tractor, “ the next single to be released from “Wide Open,” became the third No. 1 hit single for Aldean. “Wide Open” debuted in the No. 2 spot on Top Country Albums chart. In January 2010 “The Truth” was the third No. 1 hit in a row from the album and “Crazy Town” became the fourth single and peaked in the No.2 spot. Aldean released his fourth album, “My Kinda Party” in November 2010.
